Pre-flight
check
Run this before you go live. It checks your internet, then listens to the input your broadcast software uses and tells you if anything will sound wrong on air: levels, clipping, mono, noise and dead air. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
Connection
Tests your line to our server for about 15 seconds. Close anything big that's downloading or uploading first (game updates, cloud backups, streams).
Your audio
Pick the same input your broadcast software sends: your mixer or audio interface, or the virtual cable your software outputs to (Voicemeeter, VB-Cable, BlackHole and so on). Wear headphones so the meters only hear what listeners would.
The full check
About 45 seconds: a few seconds of quiet, then talk like you're on air, then play a track like you would in your show. Have a loud-ish track ready. Start your audio in step 2 first.
Hear yourself
Records 10 seconds of your input and plays it back, so you can hear what listeners hear. It stays on your computer.
The connection test goes to our server, not the stream server, so treat it as a health check of your line rather than an exact figure. Works best in Chrome or Edge on a computer. Stuck? Ask in the presenters' channel on Discord.
